DURFC 5th XV play their matches in the Men's Rugby Northern Tier 4 with 6 other Universities. The 5th XV provides a fantastic entry level for players just joining University rugby to make that extra step up in terms of the physicality and speed of the game, to then progress up the club's teams in the future.

The team has gotten off to a flyer, winning 46-0 away against Sunderland 1st team, and are looking forward to more testing challenges ahead, particularly the start of the cup campaign against Liverpool John Moores, and continuing fine form in the league.
