DURFC’s 1st XV compete at the highest level of student competition. The BUCS Super Rugby league consists of the 10 best university sides across England and Wales, who compete across 18 gruelling rounds of regular season action. Following this, a knockout competition takes place culminating in the flagship final at Twickenham.

In the 2019/20 season, DURFC 1st XV successfully won the Super Rugby title for the first time in the club’s history.

The 1ST XV is a breeding ground for up-and-coming premiership talent. We have had esteemed success in providing a distinguished pathway to the professional game. 
The 2022/23 season will once again provide a high-performance platform on which DURFC will look to defend their title.
